The movie business has -- yet again -- run up record numbers at the box office. In 2010, theaters around the world reported a combined total revenue of $31.8 billion, up 8 percent from 2009. While the industry certainly has its share of piracy problems, they aren't affecting box office receipts.

Internet TV Service ivi Vows to Appeal 'Wrong' Ruling

A federal judge in New York has issued a preliminary injunction against internet TV service ivi, in closely-watched case pitting an upstart web video service against some of the most powerful entertainment companies in the world. In an interview with Wired.com after the ruling, ivi founder and CEO Todd Weaver vowed to appeal the order. "The judge has it wrong," Weaver said flatly.

Protesters in the country are now taking full advantage of their restored connectivity by posting reports and accounts on Twitter. Arasmus takes the most pertinent, and trustworthy, reports and places them on a Google Map.
